Learning Kit

The activity sheets are available so that readers can go through the journey with Billie in the book Billie Back in Baltimore. These activities focus on the importance of collective responsibility by connecting specific values that each character teaches Billie as she travels through Baltimore in the year 1946. Billie encountered many friends who gave wisdom and insight on the beautiful community that is Baltimore. These activity lessons allow the reader to think critically about what they have learned while reading.

The Character Traits exercise allows children to focus on a character and identify attributes of that character.

The Who Am I exercise encourages children to draw their own images of how they can embody the values taught in the book so they can put into practice some of these values
everyday.
